Orioles Series Recap: How Sweep It Is!
Recapping the sweep of the series against the Baltimore Orioles. Not only was this our first one of the season but also killed the O's attempt to break our franchises MLB record from back in the day.
Coming into this series many figured this would be a real test of where this team stood and outside of a few mistakes that kept Baltimore in it, they did what they needed to do and took 3 important games. Siani was the star of Game 1, Gorman of a rain delayed Game 2, while it took a team effort to comeback and steal game 3 from under their noses. Not only that but both the starters and relievers held up fantastically against a potent offense. Very little negatives from this series which is a rare thing this season.
In the last 10 the Cardinals are 8-2 while the rest of the Central is on a slide. We find ourselves only 1 GB of a Wild Card spot and still well in the mix for the Central title. This makes the upcoming series against the Cubs and Reds all that more important.
